From Mike Cope's blog:
"Several fundamentalist Muslims, angered by the Pope’s statements that some parts of Islam are violent, have responded in violent retaliation. Thankfully, many moderates of their faith are pointing out the tiny inconsistency in their objections."

In light of your previous post and this quote form Mike I just got back form the ACU lectures where I had the opportunity to hear a panel discussion on the church and the State. Lynn Anderson, Lee Camp, Randy Harris and others talked about the Christians responsibility to the state and how it affects the Kingdom.
The Sermon on the Mount came in to play in a large way. Do these words form us as a people and as disciples or do the act as some sort of general guidelines. Randy Harris asked a rather disturbing question, did our American President who claims to be a “Christian” ask how invading Iraq would affect the spread of the Kingdom before he declared war? Probably not and we do the same when we hear Jesus words to seek the Kingdom first and go merrily on our way do the exact opposite.
